Instructor Course Calendar and Options

Duration: 1 day, 9:30 – 4:30

This course is designed for qualified Instructors holding a First Aid Instructor certificate from a recognised HSE approved organisation. To be accepted on an IOC, you will need to provide evidence that you have been actively teaching in first aid and hold a current First Aid at Work certificate or equivalent. The range of courses that you can deliver will depend on the evidence you have provided on which courses you have been active in teaching.

Duration: 3 days, 9:30 – 4:30 each day

On successful completion you will be able to instruct the following courses:

•	Emergency Aid and Appointed Persons (4 hrs content)
•	Basic (12 hrs content)
•	Paediatric (12 hrs content)
•	Sports (12 hrs content)
•	Community (4 hrs content)

Duration: 4 days, 9:30 – 4:30 each day

On successful completion you will be able to instruct the following courses:

•	All the courses as in the 3 days course
•	HSE Approved Emergency First Aid at Work (6 hrs content)
•	HSE Approved First Aid at Work (18 hrs content)
•	HSE Approved First Aid at Work Requalification (12 hrs content)
•	First Aid at Work Annual Refresher as recommended by the HSE (3 hrs content)

Included in this course you will gain the First Aid at WorkAssessor qualification.

Duration: 5 days, 9:30 – 4:30 each day

On successful completion you will be able to instruct the following courses:

•	All the courses as in the 4 days course
•	Automated External Defibrillation (AED 6 hrs content)

Duration: 1 day, 9:30 – 4:30

This qualification offers current FAI Instructors in IDC to advance their qualification to be able to deliver Automated External Defibrillation and or First Aid at Work.

Duration: 1 day, 9:30 – 4:30

This qualification is for people who would like to become an assessor in First Aid at Work. To be accepted on this course you will need to provide evidence of a recognised assessor qualification and experience in assessing.

Duration: Half day, 9:30 – 1:30

This qualification is for First Aid International (FAI) Instructors who have not met the minimum requirement of two courses delivered within the year.
